In January 2025, our team coordinated a student visit from New York University, Abu Dhabi Campus, led by Professor Razerta Bilali. We organized a large number of activities and visits for them to help them understand the transitional justice and peacebuilding processes in BiH. A group of 15 students visited Sarajevo, Srebrenica, and Mostar.
Part of those activities were sessions with civil society, including the Srebrenica Memorial Center team and genocide survivors, Ajna Mahmić (Trial International), Vernes Voloder (Nansen Dialogue Centre Mostar), and visits to the War Childhood Museum, Tunnel of Hope, and History Museum.
In addition to these sessions, students were introduced to the work of our center by Velma Šarić and Tatjana Milovanović, including our Ordinary Heroes and Unprotected documentaries.
