Date of implementation: January 2018 – June 2018
Partners: International Organization for Migration (IOM)
Primary Objective: To equip young people from across BiH with the skills necessary to counter extremist narratives online.
To equip young people with the tools and knowledge to launch CVE campaigns on social media, PCRC has partnered with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and provided training and mentorship to more than 125 young people from across BiH. As part of the program, each participant was taught the basics of CVE social media campaign creation including messaging design, graphics design and selection, audience targeting, and social media best practices. These young people have been placed into municipal teams to formulate an idea for their CVE campaign; targeted to other youth in their municipality, and therefore addressing relevant local issues. A mentorship program followed this initial training, with each team launching their campaign at the conclusion of this program. Awards were given for the most well-designed and successful campaigns at the end of the project period. See all campaigns here.
