Within the #12DaysOfPeace campaign, PCRC and UNFPA Bosnia and Herzegovina are marking the International Day of Non-violence with a special series of events in Srebrenica.
Together with our friends from the Association “SARA-Srebrenica” we will display the photography exhibition ‘‘My Body: A War Zone’’ which documents the use of sexual violence as a weapon of war through the testimonies of women survivors from around the world and aims to help survivors transform from victims to participants in the struggle for justice. Next to the exhibition, we will present the #OnTheMargins photo book that aims to combat the negative perceptions people have about Roma communities and challenge the viewer to reexamine his or her viewpoints about this diverse community. We will then facilitate a discussion on the importance of advocating and promoting the values of justice, peace, cross-cultural understanding, and reconciliation among the youth who shape the historical narratives of tomorrow.
