On the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the Kazani crime, a roundtable discussion “Dealing with the Past as a Prerequisite for a Safer Future” was held in Sarajevo, organized by UDIK, FES BiH, and Pro Peace BiH.
Our Erna Mačkić spoke on the panel together with Edin Omerčić and Adi Škaljić. They discussed the importance of inclusive commemoration, the challenges and successes of constructive memorialization in the process of dealing with the past and transitional justice in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On this occasion, the publication “Kazani: trials, (re)exhumation, memorialization” published by UDIK, created with the support of Pro Peace BiH, was presented as well.
