Our fifth Peace Festival brought together 40 young people from different parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Čardaci Ethno Village in Vitez, where they participated in a program dedicated to peace, dialogue and shared learning over several days. Young people came from numerous cities across the country to reflect on the past and the peace-building process through workshops, lectures and joint activities. The program also included discussions on transitional justice, the culture of remembrance and the importance of involving young people in the processes of dealing with the past. Participants visited memorial sites, Ahmići and the Osmica memorial, where they had the opportunity to hear personal testimonies from survivors and their families. These visits left a strong emotional impression and encouraged reflection on responsibility towards victims and the future. Through various panels and workshops, young people discussed the role of art, education and media in preserving the culture of remembrance.
