Our first Srebrenica Youth Camp, entitled “Dealing with the past to rethink the future,” was held from July 8th to 12th at the Srebrenica Memorial Center. The youth camp was a multidisciplinary training program that encouraged learning and critical thinking around the subjects of remembrance, art, conflict prevention and transitional justice. During the program, 25 young people from 12 municipalities around Bosnia and Herzegovina learned from world-class practitioners, academics, artists and experts from a range of fields, including transitional justice, historical memory, journalism, violence prevention and human rights. The camp featured a series of masterclasses, lectures and workshops that presented cutting-edge approaches and best practices for addressing key? issues in conflict and post-conflict countries.
