The sixth Srebrenica Youth School, from July 7 to 12, was held in Sarajevo, Tuzla, and Srebrenica. Young researchers, activists, and students from 23 countries came together to learn about memory culture, dealing with the past, and trust-building. Participants paid tribute to the victims by laying flowers at the Eternal Flame in Sarajevo, the Kapija Memorial in Tuzla, and the Srebrenica Memorial Center. The program provided a space for sharing knowledge and experiences. Young people connected through workshops such as one by Jasmin Jašarević from the PRONI Center on connecting young people, lectures by experts from the UN, the OSCE, the International Commission on Missing Persons, Impunity Watch and more, and field visits to organizations like the International Commission for Missing Persons and their Podrinje Identification Project. This generation of the School sends a strong message that remembrance is the foundation of peace.
