Nicolas is a recent graduate from Harvard University. He earned a Bachelor’s degree, Magna Cum Laude with Highest Honors in Government and Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations, and a concurrent Master’s degree in Modern Middle Eastern Studies. Nicolas wrote his undergraduate honors thesis on Israeli digital public diplomacy during the two-month period surrounding October 7, 2023, using a mixed-methods analysis of Arabic- and English-language social media posts, interviews with Israeli diplomats and online content creators, and original ethnographic research.

Nicolas’ current research in Bosnia and Herzegovina on peace education is supported by Harvard University’s Postgraduate Public Service Fellowship. Motivated by his past work with local dialogue initiatives and civil society organizations in the Middle East and North Africa, he seeks to understand the impact of peace education interventions across different educational contexts in BiH (segregated, mono-ethnic, and mixed schools). He plans to author a case study on the design and implementation of peace education within transitional justice to guide other conflict-affected regions seeking post-conflict reconciliation.

He intends to begin law school in the United States following his fellowship, with a focus on public international law, transitional justice, and human rights litigation. Originally from San Francisco, California, he enjoys running, collecting vinyl records, skiing, and writing poetry in his free time.
