Documentary film “Children of Sarajevo” depicts the lives of children in besieged Sarajevo and their efforts to preserve the truth about the murdered children and parents through the personal narrative of the families of the murdered children, representatives of the victims’ association, as well as the narratives of the surviving children – now adults. The film relies on evidence and archival materials of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) and international media reports, all with the aim of documenting the historical experience of the children of Sarajevo and preserving the memory of the youngest, innocent victims. The documentary film was produced by the Post-Conflict Research Center and PINCH Media, with the co-production of the Sarajevo Memorial Center.

Premiering on April 4 at Sarajevo City Hall, the Children of Sarajevo documentary serves as a reminder of the atrocities of the Siege of Sarajevo and honors the ongoing fight of survivors for truth and justice. It is dedicated to all citizens of Sarajevo, and especially to future generations of young people to learn about the importance of building peace and preventing violence from these narratives of survival and struggle.
