PEACE Festival is PCRC’s flagship initiative aimed at empowering active engagement and participation of youth and local communities in the peacebuilding process in Bosnia and Herzegovina through collaboration on arts projects, activities, and workshops dedicated to conflict transformation and social reconciliation.
The 1st PEACE Festival was organized in March 2022 and the 2nd PEACE Festival was organized in February 2023, both in Vitez – a scenic local community in central Bosnia and Herzegovina that survived grave atrocities during the Bosnian War 1992-1995. During the Festival, youth engage in a plethora of activities, from movie screenings, workshops, theater shows, musical concerts, literary readings and exhibitions openings, all designed to empower them to take on a more active role in peacebuilding and other social processes thus contributing to a more inclusive and shared understanding of the country’s past and future.
